The University of Tennessee College of Social Work invites you to become part of one of the best educational experiences in the United States. No matter what level you seeking we have a program for you. We offer bachelor's, master's, and two doctoral programs. We are leaders in the clinical practice field, offering multiple areas of study in several locations.

Our DSW offers the latest, greatest evidence-based intervention toolkit that is available to those in clinical social work practice. Students in the bachelor's program study in Knoxville but MSSW students can pursue their degree in Knoxville, Nashville, or 100% online. Our PhD program is centered in Knoxville but the unique DSW program and clinical practice and leadership is an online program that features a week of face-to-face studies each year in Knoxville. We offer leading edge curricula that are trauma informed and have neuroscience woven throughout, which has completely changed the way we do clinical practice over the past decade.

Our programs bring the study of neuroscience to students in ways other programs cannot. In addition to a strong clinical concentration for students planning to enter clinical practice, we're the only college in Tennessee offering an organizational leadership or macro concentration as part of our MSSW degree, preparing students to lead nonprofit agencies, work for the government, and engage with communities to help address pressing needs.

The University of Tennessee College of Social Work faculty and curriculum offer expert focus on trauma, gerontology, veterinary social work, school social work, and integrated health. Our veterinary social work program developed in partnership with the College of Veterinary Medicine, is the first of its kind in the nation. Choose the University of Tennessee College of Social Work to advance your education and discover the Volunteer Difference providing excellence, opportunity, and choice that few programs offer.
